"INDUSTRY BABY" is a song by Lil Nas X featuring Jack Harlow. It is also a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.

Summary

On July 16, 2021, Lil Nas X posted a TikTok video claiming that he had a court hearing on the 19th, supposedly connected to the Satan Shoes lawsuit from March 2021. However, there was no such court hearing on July 19. Instead, a skit was published mocking said lawsuit, alongside teasing the release of "INDUSTRY BABY".

The song itself (alongside a music video) was released on July 23, 2021, with Jack Harlow as a featured artist. It was later included on the Lil Nas X album Montero on September 17. "INDUSTRY BABY" went on to receive several award nominations, of which it won four. During October 2021, it also reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, being the third Lil Nas X single (and first Jack Harlow single) to do so.

"INDUSTRY BABY" has been used in various memes, perhaps most notably as a backing track for the ""Fans Explaining" Montages / X Slander" format.
