"Damn Daniel" refers to a viral Vine video, uploaded in 2016. It is also a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.

Overview

On February 15th, 2016, a Twitter user by the name "joshholzz", whose real name is Joshua Holz, tweeted the original "Damn Daniel" vine video. It received more than 16,000 likes in the first 48 hours. Four days after the initial tweet it had 121,938 retweets and 148,382 likes.

The video is about a man repeatedly praising fellow student Daniel Lara's look, including his "White Vans." It went viral the following year, thanks to other Vine users reposting it on other platforms, such as YouTube, and various remixes.

In early-2021, the meme would see a return in the form of "Damn Daniel, Ar Ar Ar Ar Ar Ar Ar" meme, in which a clip from One Piece is edited to the audio of an FlightReacts video in which he re-enacts the Damn Daniel vine by saying "damn Daniel ar ar ar ar ar ar ar".

Rips

The first rip featuring "Damn Daniel", was "Title Screen - Super Mario 3D Land" uploaded on July 29, 2016. The rip itself didnt feature any elements from Damn Daniel, instead the description, quoted "NintenDaamDanie1" which is a pun on the ripper of GilvaSunner's uploads of Super Mario 3D Land's soundtrack, NintenDaan1.

The first rip to actually feature elements from the meme itself was "Tong-Nou Theme (Opening Cutscene) - Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou", which had an frame from the vine edited into the rip at 0:36, still with no audio present from the meme itself, a few others rips in Season 2 featured the Damn Daniel vine clip in a similar way.

The first rip to properly feature audio elements from the Damn Daniel was "Your Team Won (Classic Ver.) - Team Fortress 2" in which it appears at 0:09.

The meme later had an event dedicated to it in 2022, the Damn Daniel 6th Anniversary event which was celebrated for the 6th anniversary of the meme. Rips during the event used the original "Damn Daniel" vine usually in YTMPV form, melody swaps utilizing "Damn Daniel! [Trap Remix]" by Dennibro, or the "Damn Daniel, Ar Ar Ar Ar Ar Ar Ar" meme.
