"Cbat" is a song by the Scottish DJ Hudson Mohawke. It is a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.
Overview
"Cbat" was uploaded on Youtube on August 1, 2011 by Hudson Mohawke, where it gathered 2 million views in ten years. It is a notably bizzare song, starting with an orchestral opening before quickly changing to an imprecisely syncopated drum machine and a repeated sample of a door creaking.
The song was not popularised until a Reddit user by the name of "TylerLife" submitted a post to the subreddit /r/TIFU, which stands for "Today I Fucked Up." The post was titled, "TIFU / My (20F) girlfriend of two years told me the music that I (25M) play during sex is weird and a major turn off." on September 1, 2022.
The post describes how the user would play the song from a CD player during intercourse to establish a rhythm, and only came to realize that his partner hated it after two years of being subjected to it, to the point where he started to thrust to the rhythm of the song during musicless sessions, and his partner would recognize it and tell him to stop.
The post received attention from people who thought the song was an absurd choice for bedroom music, most stating that a song with a repeated sample of a door creaking as a main instrument was a weird choice for sex. On the same day Twitter user @punished_cait reposted the Reddit post to Twitter alongside a caption that read, "please read this and then listen to the song. you are not prepared for the song." The tweet gathered over 200,000 likes and 40,000 retweets in nearly five days.
The next day, TikTok user @redditrave reposted the story to TikTok, gathering over 28 million views and 3.2 million likes in nearly four days. Several TikTokers soon began to theorize about how the Redditor in question would thrust to the song, noting that his technique must have been melodic and not rhythmic for her to have noticed him following the beat to "Cbat" even with no music playing. Hudson Mohawke himself posted a video from the TikTok trends where someone tries to thrust to the beat of his song, alongside a caption that read, "[crying emoji] dying." The tweet gathered over 80,000 likes in nearly four days.

On the SiIvaGunner channel, "Cbat" is mostly used in melody changes and arrangements. There have been a few mashups involving the door creaking sample, usually via pitch-shifting.
