- 23:05: Pokemonfreak777: yes happy birthday joke explainer but please stay on topic pls
- 23:05: Mick the Squirrel: i thought the topic hadnt started yet
- 23:05: TurretBot: there isn't a topic yet we're just waiting for people to join 😭
- 23:06: Mobbz.Co: Listen to the ads
- 23:06: Mobbz.Co: If they say stay on topic stay on topic
- 23:07: Spottygamester: I'm going to start with ZachHasArrived's topic first, though I don't know if they're online at the moment.
Change the wiki's background from black to dark gray
- @ZachHasArrived You have the floor now.
- 23:08: ZachHasArrived: I just thought that a dark gray background would make it easier to see some of the darker images on the wiki.
- 23:08: ZachHasArrived: Like the KFAD2 beta portraits.
- 23:09: TurretBot: Yeah
- 23:09: Arthur10123: I support this
- 23:09: Pokemonfreak777: i agree with this, but is there a mockup we can look at to see what it would look like in practice?
- 23:09: ZachHasArrived: And Bec Noir here
- 23:09: Mick the Squirrel: there are a variety of files on the wiki, this will be an issue no matter what color is chosen
- 23:09: TurretBot: I think it was changed to black with the KFAD2 theme. It kinda made sense there anesthetically, but it should probably be changed back?
- 23:09: Mick the Squirrel: also light mode users have a separate set of issues too
- 23:10: ZachHasArrived: What was it originally?
- 23:10: TurretBot: dark grey
- 23:10: Mick the Squirrel: a very ugly shade of gray
- 23:10: Mobbz.Co: cant send images here but to confrm, where talking about the color background right?
- 23:10: Mick the Squirrel: im trying to find screenshots
- 23:10: TurretBot: it was just the fandom default dark gray afaik
- 23:10: Spottygamester: It was yeah.
- 23:10: Mobbz.Co: [in reply to: Mobbz.Co: "cant send images here but to..."] not the actual background behind the wiki
- 23:10: TurretBot: it should still be visible on the abandoned alternate language siivagunner wikis
- 23:11: Spottygamester: The TTGD wiki still uses it, so you can look at that to see what that colour would look like on the SiIva wiki.
- 23:11: Spottygamester: Oh wait it isn't.
- 23:11: Spottygamester: Maybe I'm misremembering it then.
- 23:11: Spottygamester: Ignore what I just said.
- 23:11: TurretBot: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: "also light mode users..."] true, a plurality of templates set the font color to white without having a light mode check, but that's offtopic
- 23:12: TurretBot: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: "there are a variety of files on the..."] i do think a dark grey would improve the situation on account of black being a more common color
- 23:12: Mick the Squirrel: User:Mick the Squirrel/stuf#central navbox design [Note: this is a typo. Mick meant: User:Mick_the_Squirrel/stuff#central_navbox_design]
- 23:13: Mick the Squirrel: here is the old color:
- 23:13: Mick the Squirrel: File:Screen Shot 2019-01-26 at 5.57.47 PM.png
- 23:15: Mick the Squirrel: i prefer the straight black or white but ive heard that causes eyestrain for some
- 23:15: Pokemonfreak777: looks kinda ugly ngl. but if it helps with visibility i guess it might be okay?
- 23:15: Arthur10123: yeah pitch-black is not great for me
- 23:16: Mick the Squirrel: what other siiva-related color palettes can we can choose from
- 23:16: Mick the Squirrel: ...is that expanding the scope of this topic too far?
- 23:16: Spottygamester: Probably, since the initial pitch was just to change it to dark grey.
- 23:16: Mick the Squirrel: i'd need to see a mockup
- 23:17: Mick the Squirrel: there should be a respective alternative for light mode users too
- 23:17: Spottygamester: Yeah I'd want to see a mockup of it as well.
- 23:17: Pokemonfreak777: same
- 23:18: Arthur10123: lazy mockup using paint bucket tool (color hex 191919) Screenshot_2024-06-01_at_20-10-37_SiIvaGunner_Wiki.png
- 23:18: Mick the Squirrel: that looks better than i thought actually
- 23:18: Spottygamester: Yeah same.
- 23:19: Mick the Squirrel: but straight black/gray files will still be barely visible
- 23:19: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: "but straight black/gray files will..."] barely visible is still better than not visible imo
- 23:19: Spottygamester: I didn't notice the difference in Arthur's draft until I opened up the main page and compared it side by side.
- 23:20: Mick the Squirrel: [in reply to: Pokemonfreak777: "barely visible is still better than not..."] i mean i'm fine with this but it doesnt seem to accomplish its purpose
- 23:21: TurretBot: Screenshot_from_2024-06-01_19-19-55.png #111111 Screenshot_from_2024-06-01_19-20-12.png #222222
- 23:22: TurretBot: #wiki-general [A link to a message in the #wiki-general Discord channel that posts the above two files]
- 23:23: TurretBot: compared to the black thumbnail it works
- 23:23: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: "i mean i'm fine with this but it doesnt..."] i guess we could test with this image perhaps? File:ADAM-COLUMBINE3 (Alexander A. McDonald).png
- im currently in dark mode and you cant see anything but would gray help?
- 23:24: Mick the Squirrel: i thought they gave it a slight gray bg when you hovered over the image what
- 23:24: Mick the Squirrel: oh it does that just only shows up in light mode...
- 23:24: Spottygamester: Option 2 of Turret's example images does work better, though it does look kind of ugly imo.
- 23:24: TurretBot: https://i.imgur.com/ec4gxJ8.png
- 23:25: TurretBot: this is #111111 again
- 23:25: TurretBot: it's pretty visible
- 23:26: Pokemonfreak777: hmm ok that looks alright i guess
- 23:26: ZachHasArrived: I think I like 111111 more
- 23:26: TurretBot: i like #111111
- 23:26: Arthur10123: same
- 23:27: Mick the Squirrel: 1 better yeah
- 23:27: Spottygamester: Same here.
- 23:27: Spottygamester: It's not as much as a drastic change as well.
- 23:27: Pokemonfreak777: im fine with either
- 23:27: TurretBot: let's vote
- 23:28: Spottygamester: Sure.
- 23:28: Spottygamester: Give me a sec.
- 23:29: Spottygamester: We will change the wiki's background from black to dark gray (specifically to #111111)

- 23:29: Spottygamester: Proposal was passed.
- 23:29: Spottygamester: Next topic.
- 23:30: Spottygamester:
Deciding in regards of SiIvaGunner original tracks to be consider a meme.
- You have the floor now @"CogDis When?" guy.
- 23:31: TurretBot: i don't think rick is online
- 23:31: Arthur10123: it appears he's not online
- 23:32: TurretBot: womp womp
- 23:32: Spottygamester: Seems like it.
- 23:32: Spottygamester: Will skip to Mick's topics then.
- 23:32: Spottygamester: Let's discuss your first topic @Mick.
- split rips referencing media/other
- 23:32: Mick the Squirrel: split rips referencing media/other
- List of rips referencing media/Other is an overly long list.
- Video games (with no playlist) (194)
- Musicals (18)
- Web media (71)
memes (26) KFAD (5) series / comics / videos (18) sites (22)
- Comics (3)
- Companies (73)
- Misc (34)
- This totals to ~393 subsections (give or take with the passage of time), the most subsections on any media listing subpage. Page load time, bytes, editing etc are cumbersome. We need to cut it down.
- I think this would split nicely into three new subpages: Video games (with no playlist) (194), Web media (71), and Companies (73); leaving the misc section to contain only Musicals (18), Comics (3), and general misc content (34, the majority), at a more modest 55 sections.
- 23:33: Spottygamester: I support this.
- 23:34: Pokemonfreak777: yeah i agree with this split. actually i would even argue some of the other sections can be split further as well such as musicials
- 23:34: Arthur10123: I support the split, and I like the proposed new subpages
- 23:34: Spottygamester: The video games that haven't been ripped on the channel make up so much of it that it might as well be seperate at this point.
- 23:34: TurretBot: i support this except video games getting its own subpage would be weird without a category for playlist pages with RIOR sections
- 23:36: Mick the Squirrel: i think its to be assumed that a large portion have rior sections and you're just out of luck if you visit one and it isn't there
- 23:36: Mick the Squirrel: interesting idea though
- 23:36: TurretBot: i don't think so
- 23:36: TurretBot: it was discussed a few times when LORRM was first being made
- 23:37: Mick the Squirrel: i would support this but idk how far removed it is from my main topic. i'm allowed to expand right?
- 23:37: TurretBot: it think it would only be like 50%-70% of them, discounting RIOR sections that only link to other lists
- 23:38: Spottygamester: I think we could implement the proposal as is and see if we want to add video games that have been ripped to it another time.
- 23:39: TurretBot: Would the video games subpage go under the video games section in the navbox?
- 23:39: TurretBot: Would it make more sense for it to not be a subpage?
- 23:40: Mick the Squirrel: it already is
- 23:40: Pokemonfreak777: its already linked twice in the navbox under "no playlist" and "other"
- 23:40: TurretBot: oh
- 23:40: Pokemonfreak777: after the split it would be linked under "no playlist" only
- 23:41: TurretBot:
- 23:41: TurretBot: alright i guess
- 23:41: Mick the Squirrel: thinking about it right now, the rips referencing media lists could be renamed to "List of rips referencing x" without the subpaging at all
- 23:42: Spottygamester: That's a different topic though.
- 23:42: TurretBot: I honestly agree with that. It would remove the useless superpage
- 23:42: Mick the Squirrel: if we have extra time in this moot (likely) can we come back to this
- 23:43: Spottygamester: Do we agree with creating the three subpages Video games (with no playlist), Web media and Companies?
- 23:43: Spottygamester: As in, is this what you want the vote to be about?
- 23:43: Mick the Squirrel: yes
- 23:44: TurretBot: How will the implementation of this go
- 23:45: Mick the Squirrel:
- move pages
- edit
{{f}}
template - joke explainer relinks
- 23:45: TurretBot: temp category on Template:F --> extract page list --> bot action
- 23:45: TurretBot: ?
- 23:45: TurretBot: yeah
- 23:46: Mick the Squirrel: vote time?
- 23:46: TurretBot: i guess
- 23:46: Spottygamester: I'll start in a second.
- 23:47: Spottygamester: We will create subpages on the list of rips referencing media for Video games (with no playlist), Web media, and Companies.

- 23:48: Spottygamester: Proposal has passed.
- 23:48: Spottygamester: Let's discuss Mick's second topic:
- gallery subpages
- @Mick You have the floor again.
- 23:49: Mick the Squirrel: ok i thought i wrote an intro to this one but apparently not, give me a minute
- 23:49: Mick the Squirrel: (i have the info)
- 23:50: Mick the Squirrel: There should be a consistent set number to the amount of images necessary for a gallery subpage.
unsubpaged
- ssbu - 96
- undertale - 14
- earthbound - 24
- wood man - 51 (2 + 10 + 39)
- inspector gunner 2 with critic - 31
subpaged
- april fools 2024 - 135
- space jam charity slam - 291 (167 + 101 + 23)
- joke explainer 7k - 49 (11 + 10 + 17 + 11)
- JOEJOE'S BIZZAERE JOJOKE - 233
- inspector gunner - 69
- quality sampler - 40
- ripmas - 69
- volume 7 - 336
- summer colored smiles - 67
- 50 images seems like a good baseline. We should not create subpages for categories though, that would make an empty category which would be stupid.
- 23:51: TurretBot: wood man's gallery is definitely incomplete
- 23:51: TurretBot: smash ultimately probably can't have a subpage because it's a category page
- 23:51: Spottygamester: I never thought about making set criteria for gallery subpages, but it makes sense.
- 23:51: TurretBot: 30 or 40 is probably fine
- 23:53: Pokemonfreak777: yeah im not entirely sure if this would change anything, other than make quality sampler have to move their images back to the main page. most other galleries either already have a subpage or cant get a subpage because its a category
- 23:53: TurretBot: [in reply to: TurretBot: "smash ultimately probably can't have a subpage because..."] (the subpage would also be a category page)
- 23:55: Mick the Squirrel: this is minor but still a form of consistency
- 23:55: TurretBot: i also don't really agree with april fools 2024 having a gallery subpage that's just the thumbnails of all the videos anyway tbh
- 23:55: TurretBot: that's offtopic
- 23:55: Mick the Squirrel: forgot about that
- 23:57: Mick the Squirrel: ok neither events nor categories should have gallery subpages
- 23:57: TurretBot: having a set rule for this would also technically effect art folders (even though they're basically only galleries anyway)
- 23:57: TurretBot: i think you should just move wood man to a subpage and not enact an official ruling that applies globally to all pages
- 23:58: TurretBot: wood man's page is extremely incomplete, that's probably the only reason that there isn't a gallery subpage
- 23:58: Mick the Squirrel: could be restrained to character and album pages
- 23:59: Arthur10123: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: "ok neither events nor categories should have..."] no events? even the Charity SLAM! ?
- 23:59: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: "ok neither events nor categories should have..."] i kinda disagree with events not getting gallery subpages. sure for april fools it is just a bunch of thumbnails but theyre all unique and take up a lot of space on the actual page
- 23:59: Mick the Squirrel: knew i should have written this out further
- 0:01: Mick the Squirrel: case-by-case basis on event pages
- slam edits were effectively a subjoke during the charity and are in the hundreds so they deserve a subpage - even with shrinking they are still long
- mario thumbs were much lower in quantity, and are shrunk in size on that page specifically
- 0:02: TurretBot: i dont think the thumbnails need to be listed out at all tbh, it's literally just the list of rips but again
- the charity slam page has a similar problem, but at least with rip images it makes a little more sense
- 0:03: Mick the Squirrel: being able to see all the thumbnails at once is nicer than having to click each individual page
- 0:03: Spottygamester: Do you think this pitch needs to be written out more?
- 0:03: Mick the Squirrel: or abandoned tbh
- 0:04: Mick the Squirrel: i can just move wood man out
- 0:04: TurretBot: common sense hasn't really led to anything offensively stupid, just move wood man out
- 0:05: TurretBot: there's only a few pages that even have galleries (subpage or not) anyway
- 0:06: Mick the Squirrel: i assume it isn't worth voting
- 0:07: Mick the Squirrel: ?
- 0:07: TurretBot: idk
- 0:07: TurretBot: @Spottygamester
- 0:08: Spottygamester: If you feel it needs to be thought out more before discussing at the moment, I can end the moot for today.
- 0:08: Mick the Squirrel: i'm probably just going to scrap it lol
- 0:09: Mick the Squirrel: did we want to revisit the lorrm topic at all?
- 0:09: TurretBot: I'd like to
- 0:09: TurretBot: i think the moot died out though
- 0:09: Arthur10123: I'm up for it
- 0:09: Mick the Squirrel: okay scrolling up
- 0:10: Spottygamester: I don't want to discuss it during this since it wasn't part of the initial moot schedule.
- 0:10: Spottygamester: Plus we've been talking for 70 minutes now and I'm tired.
- 0:11: TurretBot: ok
- 0:11: Mick the Squirrel: alright then
- 0:11: Arthur10123: fiine by me
- 0:11: TurretBot: Happy Birthday Joke Explainer!
- 0:11: Mick the Squirrel: happy birthday
- 0:11: Spottygamester: Alright, see you guys later then.
- 0:11: Pokemonfreak777: happy birthday JE!
- 0:11: Arthur10123: buhbye!
- 0:11: Arthur10123: and happy bday J.E.
