"Pop Star - Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards" was a high quality rip of "Pop Star" from from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
Joke
From 0:01 to 0:23 and from 0:35 to the end, an instrument playing "Meet the Flintstones" is layered over the advertised track. When the original song abruptly stops, the Flintstones theme still plays for a few seconds.
History
The rip was first uploaded to GiIvaSunner on March 9, 2016,[1] then apparently removed and uploaded again the next day.[2] The rip most likely had a few fixes made to it in its second upload.
The rip was reuploaded to SiIvaGunner on April 29, 2016.[3] A few months later, a similar rip titled "Pop Star (OST Version) - Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards" was uploaded. The new rip of "Pop Star" uses the entirety of the advertised track and has the melody changed instead of added on top. At some point[when?], the old rip was removed from the channel, but it can still be found on Bandcamp. Interestingly, both rips can be found on GilvaSunner's Highest Quality Video Game Rips: Volume 6.66.
