Additionally. the campaign also features:
- NPCs that are named after various team members at the time of the ARG or other SiIvaGunner memes.
- Various lines of dialogue also in reference to memes on the channel and outside it.
- Several locations throughout the map that reference memes on the channel.
Descriptions
The description of the file in the website's search results reads:
The Rippers took over the land, and YOU've gotta make the place high quality again!
The description of the file itself is:
A nonsensical story from an alternate alternate universe. Start off as a random man, end up as an army. Standard campaign stuff, am I right. Be warned though, if you don't know about someone called GiIvaSunner and all the memes/jokes surrounding it, you probably won't understand anything that happens in the game. I hope you understand. This campaign will only work for Age of Empires 2: HD Edition. Do you know your memes?
Plot Summary
Joel and his Grand Dad have been doing well even after the Rippers took over the land. Joel has also heard rumors about the Rippers changing GiIvaSunner. One regular day, Grand Dad asks Joel to gather wood and take it to Budrock town to sell for food. After completing this task and arriving at the Budrock marketplace, Joel encounters GiIvaSunner. He asks if GiIvaSunner has "a selection of mostly Nintendo video game music," but GiIvaSunner is in his Reboot state, saying lines relating to the Reboot and seeming to ignore Joel's attempts at asking what is wrong with him, before walking away when Joel tries to ask further.
Upon returning from the market, Joel discovers that the Rippers, led by Triple-Q, have destroyed his house and killed Grand Dad. Grand Dad instructs Joel to find GiIvaSunner, who lives in the southern part of the map. After arriving at GiIvaSunner's house and avoiding the various Rippers along the way, Joel finds GiIvaSunner still in his Reboot state. However, after Joel tries to snap him out of it, GiIvaSunner quickly glitches back to his normal state. GiIvaSunner says they must kill the Rippers and offers Joel a place to stay since his house burnt down. GiIvaSunner then decides to train Joel in fighting the Rippers until he's capable of taking them on himself. Afterward, GiIvaSunner leads Joel to where he makes his "high-quality video game rips" and mentions he has lost his high-quality ripping software. He asks Joel for help in retrieving it. When Joel questions why GiIvaSunner didn't do it himself, GiIvaSunner reveals he had to escape from the Rippers after a previous failed attempt, hiding in the mountains to avoid detection, and that he has a plan to defeat the Rippers.
Returning to GiIvaSunner's place, they find the Rippers are burning it down. GiIvaSunner and Joel fight back. GiIvaSunner then reveals his plans to get help from Chad Warden, last seen in Hahlation. After finding him, Chad Warden shares that Triple-Q has Nozomi as an ally, residing in the Ripper base in the woods. Chad Warden considers forming an army to take on Nozomi and hopefully defeat the Rippers. They travel the land looking for others to join their cause. Once they have enough men and other camps, particularly those further west, they attack the Ripper base. There, they discover Nozomi is missing and instead find PSY, another one of Triple-Q's helpers.
After defeating PSY and destroying the camp, Chad Warden instructs Joel and GiIvaSunner to meet him south of Hahlation. There, Chad Warden reveals their plan to establish a base in that location. A scout arrives with news that Nozomi has captured Hahlation. Chad Warden urges them to quickly set up the base and form a large army to retake Hahlation. After reclaiming the town and defeating Nozomi, Triple-Q is seen fleeing. Chad Warden, GiIvaSunner, and Joel decide to pursue him, while Joel remains to take care of Hahlation.
Reboot ARG involvement
During the campaign, there are two hints given that can be found, the first one can be found in the Hahlation town when interacting with a random villager, which will result in this dialogue being displayed:
No, you won't find your ARG hints here. jk check the audio folder
After finishing all the objectives and campaign, Joel will then tell the player this:
Oh hey, don't think I didn't see you there. Going through this, game, waiting for the time where the clue for the next step of the ARG shows up. Well, that time is now. You better screencap this or some shit because I'm not going to repeat myself. The music that's been playing during this campaign is all from the same game. Can you figure out what game that is? Now, from that game, there is a character that says he's too nervous to handle guns. What is that character's name? When you find it, it should sound familiar. Lastly, when you get the proper name, switch the last A for a D. Look for an account with that name and you should be on the right track! Good luck, and remember, the point of this ARG, and of course GiIva in general, is to have fun! So, enjoy yourself!
As pointed out by Joel, the scenario has a custom soundtrack featuring music from a different video game. A hint to what game these tracks are from can be found by looking through the scenario's audio folder, as told by the villager NPC.
All of the audio files with the in-game music are credited to Jeremy Soule. Additionally, the files also contain two other pieces of audio that are not played within the scenario itself.
The first is a .mp3 file titled "reward for whoever bothers looking through the folders" and has the track title of "Kabuto". The second is a .wav file called "key 1 of 3", which will be needed later on in the ARG.
The hints given point at the game Giants: Citizen Kabuto, as it contains the music used in the scenario and has Jeremy Soule as one of its composers. The character from it that fits Joel's desciription is Timmy.
The last part of this step requires some background knowledge on SilvaGunner (spelt with a lowercase "L"), a now defunct VGM channel that GilvaSunner, the channel SiIvaGunner parodies, got its name from. One of the two people who founded GilvaSunner also ran another VGM channel called "TimmyTurnersDad".[1]

wtf dude don't try to cheat this out Low quality cheats get the kicks l m a o
The second one can appear when using the "marco" cheat that reveals the whole map and heading to a spot on the map that resembles "Loss" which isn't visible without using the cheat. Doing so will result in this message popping up before a game over:

Trivia
- When GiIvaSunner is rebooting back to his normal state, he plays the AOL dial up sounds.
- Also during this, one of the lines he says can be viewed in a spectrogram. This is hinted by Joel saying:
What's... What's going on? Is this something I'm supposed to use a spectrogram on?
Using a spectrogram on the "cos-ypw hnhpu kbtihzz" file results in a image of what appears to be two people dancing and a school bus in between the people.
- The spelling of "Hahlation" could be based on the way Chad Warden is sentenced mixed to say "Snow halation".
- The hidden audio file titled "reward for whoever bothers looking through the folders.mp3" consists of a mashup with an unknown song and the vocals from the rip "DK Rap (Gorilla Version) - Donkey Kong 64".
