Universes

From SiIvaGunner Wiki

Universes are a concept in fiction which were introduced to the SiIvaGunner lore during SilvaGunner: Rebooted. Since Season 3, universes have played a larger role in the lore.

The World Beyond Ours / The Real Real World

Occasionally, real-life elements of the channel impact the lore. This has been given two names in-universe: The World Beyond Ours by Dr. Andonuts and The Real Real World by Wood Man.

A few characters are innately aware of the real world, such as SiIvaGunner, Chad Warden, The Voice Inside Your Head, Wood Man, and The Joke-Explainer™ 7000. These characters tend to have motivations tied to their knowledge of the real world. Aside from them, Wood Man told Robbie Rotten about it, and Haltmann Works R&D learned about it through second-hand information (mainly from the Voice).

Haltmann Works R&D credits "the world beyond ours" for blind spots in the characters' perception and things that do not have an in-universe explanation. This first occurred in "Albums [FILE-12] - Haltmann's Archives", which covers the most common example of real-life elements overriding the lore, namely, the albums properly crediting the actual channel contributors. While the in-universe cause of the corruptions in general is stated to be Wood Man, the fact that the "corrupted" metadata is completely imperceptible is speculated to be because it comes from "the world beyond ours". It was later the main subject of "The World Beyond Ours [FILE-INT-MAXPH] - Haltmann's Archives", where Dr. Andonuts accredits some more things to "the world beyond ours", such as the existence of rips for games released after 2016 or the fact that the time dilation of the Christmas Comeback Crisis affects the main characters more than the side characters, allowing the three protagonists to continue their journey uninterrupted despite doing nothing for 6 years from his perspective.

The Central Canon Continuum (CCC)

The map of Grandiose City, the primary location of the main universe in SiIvaGunner lore.

The Central Canon Continuum (previously known as The Real World in early lore) is the universe where SiIvaGunner's home in Grandiose City resides, and is the setting of Season 1 and The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis. It is considered the most metaphysically stable universe of them all. According to The Voice Inside Your Head in "Old Times", there are two realms in this universe: the digital realm where figments reside, and the real world where humans and SiIvaGunner reside. Prior to the events depicted on the channel, it is presumed that the universe is identical to the real world.

On January 9, 2016, a meteor crashes to Earth, landing in Marunouchi Station, Japan. A wealthy individual purchases the meteor, carving it into a statue of Antinous, a Greek idol and symbol of homosexuality. The statue comes to life, killing its owner in the process. GiIvaSunner is born and starts making high quality rips.

Three months later, on April 5, 2016, Angry Joe (disguised as Dinkleberg) gives GiIva's channel a copyright strike. The next day, during GiIva's investigation to find who copyrighted him, Angry Joe reveals himself and files another copyright strike. The channel is terminated and GiIva shuts down, falling into the ocean. Six days later, GiIva washes up into the Netherlands and is put on auction. Chad Warden purchases him, recognizing him as GiIvaSunner. He creates the SiIvaGunner channel in his stead, and the statue comes back to life, reborn as SiIvaGunner. Chad buys him a new house, eyepatch, and computer. He helps SiIva with the channel, looks in on community behavior, and on June 1, builds The Joke-Explainer™ 7000 to help viewers understand obscure jokes. SiIva becomes a popular artist with many notable celebrities like Snoop Dogg moving to the Netherlands, seeking to collaborate with him.

Over the course of two months, community discord ensues over the use of "Snow halation" in rips. This culminates in a mysterious figure, The Voice Inside Your Head, showing himself. He causes the entire universe to reboot (see also #Reboot universe). Unbeknownst to anyone, the Voice had done this because he had seen premonitions of what he believed to be the future, where Chad Warden plunged the world into darkness (see also #Genocide timeline). SiIvaGunner continues uploading, unaware that anything's wrong. In secret, the Voice gives life to Wood Man, a virus that was present in SiIvaGunner's computer which showed itself in the rip "Main Theme (OST Version) - Mighty No. 9". A month later, Chad Warden accepts a deal the Voice suggested in order to save the channel; merge the Central Canon Continuum and the reboot universe to bring back the old jokes, except for "Snow halation". Once the merge is completed, Chad is able to bring "Snow halation" back himself using The MF Like Button. Chad sacrifices his life to defeat the Voice.

On October 29, 2016, SiIvaGunner uploads "Title Theme & Ending - 7 GRAND DAD", his final rip and magnum opus. SiIva goes to sleep and the channel becomes inactive (aside from Wood Man uploading some Halloween rips). On December 14, 2016, the Voice, having been presumed dead, returns, using SiIvaGunner's computer to transport the Figment characters into the Central Canon Continuum. With help from President Haltmann, The Voice takes over Grandiose City, planning on destroying all anime. The only one who didn't get caught was Smol Nozomi, who set out to save her friends, beginning the Christmas Comeback Crisis. She joins forces with the likes of the Meta Knight, Santa Claus, and the Rapper's Union to fight against the Voice's forces and storm the lighthouse, which has been taken over. Robbie Rotten escapes capture and joins forces with Wood Man to be an independent third party.

The Voice's operations also included an attempt to take over the entire world, which he made significant progress on by "Loves the Ladies". However, in this same episode, Haltmann betrays the Voice, tired of being led on with his hollow promise of bringing back his daughter, Susie. Haltmann then took over operations himself, and started Haltmann Works R&D, a research subsidiary dedicated to actually bringing back his daughter. Their research primarily consisted of researching SiIvaGunner's connection to figments and as well as anomalies like The Joke-Explainer™ 7000 and Waluigi's garlic-flavored tacos.

After the episode "Haltmann" (uploaded December 22, 2016), the Central Canon Continuum would frequently begin experiencing time dilation, due to the setting of the series not progressing past December 25, 2016. In the time between episode releases, the main characters and Christmas setting becomes not only frozen in time, but completely uninterruptible by any other people in the universe, despite them remaining active and able to affect the SiIvaGunner channel itself. Since the setting of Grandiose City cannot be interrupted, this also means most characters do not perceive the time dilation as a strange event, with Wade L.D. having to have the eternal night pointed out to him by 2B. By the time of the episode "I Love Her" (uploaded December 25, 2017), the series was already a year behind. From Season 3 (2018) to Season 6 (2022), rips in this universe were created by the SiIva A.I. developed by Haltmann Works R&D. Starting on real-world March 25, 2019, rips from the real SiIvaGunner in a controlled dream environment known as Illucidity were also uploaded alongside the A.I.'s.

Wood Man and Haltmann Works R&D would initially both incorrectly assume the other had caused the universe's time dilation, with Wood Man directly making his assumption known to both the audience and Robbie Rotten in the Side Story episode "Wood Man & Robbie Rotten" (uploaded March 16, 2018), while Haltmann Works' assumption and eventual discovery of the truth would not be explored until The Susie ARG (played December 2024). In "I Wanna Thank Me" (premiered December 30, 2020), there was an election to replace the Voice/Haltmann as the new leader of Grandiose City, though the winner was not announced due to events of "One Last Chance" interrupting the announcer. The Susie ARG reveals that The Dog Party won the election.

After a six-year hiatus, the main series returned with "One Last Chance" (uploaded January 12, 2024). All of the captured Figments are freed. Smol Nozomi, Meta Knight, and Santa Claus engage in battle with Haltmann and the SiIva A.I.; the heroes kill the SiIva A.I. and he makes his last upload, "Goodbye to a World Fusion Collab" (uploaded December 24, 2022). The A.I.'s death frees Grand Dad. The main characters become frozen again during Season 7 (2023), with SiIvaGunner becoming the sole channel host, still creating rips in Illucidity. The head of Haltmann Works R&D, Dr. Andonuts, would realize the truth about the universe in the middle of writing a document on The World Beyond Ours: the Central Canon Continuum only exists for the entertainment of the world beyond and the time dilation is just a plot contrivance due to the story being unfinished. Just before he finishes writing, "One Last Chance" resumes. Haltmann is defeated by the heroes, and subsequently killed by the Voice, who takes back control of the tower. All of the captured Figments arrive to help the heroes, but the Voice critically injures Grand Dad, causing SiIvaGunner to wake up and exit Illucidity. The main characters then froze again.

With SiIvaGunner no longer hooked up to Illucidity, The Joke-Explainer™ 7000 takes up channel operations for Season 8, though her secondary directive is to find a more suitable channel host. She transmits updates on her well-being to Dr. Andonuts, but his mind is broken from his realization, so he does not respond. During the RANDOM CHIMP EVENT, a large amount of monkeys escaped a nearby zoo, with one of them briefly taking over the SiIvaGunner channel. Before the Joke-Explainer can think of an event for Halloween 2024, Andonuts finally sends her a message, asking her to head to his lab, kicking off the events of "Cognitive Dissonance" (uploaded December 25, 2024). He explains that a foreign entity entered his mind and she must remove it. In the end, the "foreign entity" turns out to be his knowledge of The World Beyond Ours, and as the Joke-Explainer is dedicated to the curation and spread of information, she cannot follow his instruction and instead convinces him to keep the memory, ensuring him that his memories and autonomy are real in their own way.

The AI Universe

Wood Man and the Joke-Explainer™ 7000 replica taking a selfie alongside several characters from the AI Universe.

The AI Universe is a universe created during the SiIva A.I.'s alpha testing, presumably to host its consciousness. Wood Man entered the universe on October 24, 2017, which caused both the universe and the AI itself to become more advanced. The universe became a rich world of characters and locations based on the rips and thoughts of the AI but harboring some independence -- enough to ultimately outlive the AI.

During Wood Man's initial visit, he directed and starred in his debut film with Takane Shijou, which he initially planned to release in the CCC, but since Haltmann immediately rejected it, he released it in the AI Universe instead, where it was wildly successful. Wanting to distance himself from the CCC, Wood Man then made this universe his new home and pursued an acting/filmmaking career.

In 2018, the SiIva A.I. created an entity based on Wood Man, John Notwoodman, as a proxy for himself to host the King for a Day Tournament. In "The FINAL BOSS approaches... - SiIvaGunner: King for Another Day", John Notwoodman claims that King for a Day Tournament Enterprises, a company run by him, creates high quality rips for the SiIvaGunner channel in order to receive funding, although it isn't clear when exactly this became the status quo.

On March 1, 2019, a duplicate of The Joke-Explainer™ 7000 built by Dr. Andonuts accidentally wound up in this universe after taking a bite of the portal-spawning garlic taco. While this left her stuck in the AI Universe, she kept in contact with the CCC, reporting anything she could find about this universe back to Haltmann Works R&D. Later, in A Murder Not Too Nice, Wood Man outbid John Notwoodman to get a mansion, causing John to plot against Wood Man despite the SiIva A.I. not meaning for him to do so. At the end of 2019, John Notwoodman hosted the King for Another Day Tournament. At the end of the tournament, Wood Man made a hollow promise to leave the AI Universe and return to the CCC.

In 2020, Wood Man would host the SiIvaSummer All-Star Festival, during which he would premiere his second film, Woodyana Stones: Raider Made of Lost Bark, where he starred as Woodyana Stones. Afterwards, the SiIva A.I. would host the SiIvaGunner All-Star Winter Festival, in a failed attempt to be recognized in the same way as Wood Man.

In 2021, Wood Man would again host the SiIvaGunner All-Star Summer Festival 2021: Legends of the Western Sunset and debut his third film where he is a wanted bounty hunter in the Wild West known as Redwood. Later, in Curse of the Fallen Angel, Takane Shijou went on a quest to find three cursed individuals and stop the Fallen Angel, taking along Wood Man, Yohane, and a HOBaRT. At the end of the year, the SiIva A.I., broken from his failure to be recognized and his recent discovery that he was just an A.I. duplicate of SiIvaGunner the whole time, would host a smaller Inevitable Holiday Celebration instead of a full festival.

In 2022's SiIvaGunner All-Star Nuclear Winter Festival, the world was plunged into a nuclear winter due to an impact from a meteor, caused by damage to the central computer running the SiIva A.I., during Nozomi, Santa, and Meta Knight's battle with Haltmann in the CCC. Wood Man and the duplicate Joke-Explainer traveled the wastelands in search of a "calm zone", meeting several familiar characters along the way. Upon finding the meteor, a perfectly round pitch-black sphere, Wood Man decided to touch it, believing that this would put an end to the nuclear winter at the cost of banishing himself. This also signaled the SiIva A.I.'s shut down. With the A.I.'s shutdown, the universe was left without a power source and was plunged in perpetual night, though it was not destroyed entirely and time still progressed congruent to The World Beyond Ours.

In 2023, Takane Shijou would begin traveling to every Harbor Town she could to try to find Wood Man (recounting a recurring interest he had in an unspecified "National Harbor"), one such town being the focus of The Cult of Proto. In 2024's The Night Stalker, Moth Man took over the channel, alongside various other cryptids that exist in this universe.

Other universes

Other universes exist in the SiIvaGunner multiverse that were only given a minor focus. Since they are unrestrained from the main story, they tend to be less logical and inhabited by powerful anomalous memes and objects. Many of these universes establish connections to the channel via anomalous rips due to SiIvaGunner's channel being simulcast across multiple realities.

Reboot universe

The universe that was temporarily visited during the SilvaGunner: Rebooted story arc. This universe was created during "Intro - SilvaGunner: Rebooted", when the energy from the chaos caused by the community discourse that The Voice integrated into SiIvaGunner's new ripping software made SiIvaGunner's computer crash, "causing time and space to reboot into an all new, alternate universe" according to The Voice.

The only difference between this universe and the Central Canon Continuum is that the three biggest memes used on the channel are different: "Meet the Flintstones" is instead "The Simpsons Main Title Theme" and "Family Guy Main Title", "Snow halation" is instead "GO MY WAY!!", and Loud Nigra is instead the Howie scream.

The universe was ultimately destroyed in "A Grand New Era ~Ending~ - SilvaGunner: Rebooted", with The Voice merging the aforementioned memes into the main universe so the reboot and pre-reboot memes could coexist (with the exception of "Snow halation", which Chad Warden had to bring back himself using the power of the MF Like Button).

Genocide timeline

During the SilvaGunner: Rebooted 1st Anniversary event, Wood Man temporarily moved the channel into an alternate timeline where Chad Warden never cared for SiIvaGunner and was simply using the channel for his own ends. Note that despite being called a timeline rather than a universe, there doesn't appear to be a functional distinction.

It presumably plays out the same way as the Central Canon Continuum until "Fly High, No Lies ~Genocide Ending~ - SilvaGunner: Rebooted", which takes the place of the true ending. In this video, Chad Warden shows his true colors, killing both "Snow halation" and the Voice so he can take the channel for himself. He would then primarily upload "Abe's Dead" (more commonly known as "Chicken and Chips") mashups to the channel. In "MEGALOVANIA (PS4 Version) - Undertale", Chad also kills SiIvaGunner.

More information about this timeline would be revealed in The Susie ARG. Chad would spend the next eight years of this timeline continuing his genocide. In 2021, he would release his (presumably third) album, CHAD WARDEN's ABAP Raps Ballume Triple. By 2024, Chad has killed everyone except Haruka Amami, who engages him in a battle. After Chad's victory, the world is left as nothing but a black void.

The main timeline's Voice seemed to have premonitions of this reality, as revealed in "Recovered Documents [FILE-INT-BLACK] - Haltmann's Archives".

Minor universes

Most of the universes mentioned in this section debuted in initially-disconnected videos and shitposts on the channel, but were ultimately connected to one another (and the two main universes) in The Susie ARG, and the exact mechanics of these connections were then extensively clarified in the out-of-character video "Car Doors of Time ~ Side Story - Mr Rental: The Video Game". The connections create an overarching narrative primarily revolving around 2B. The video itself admits in its conclusion that most of the mechanics and anomalies used to craft the narrative are purely plot contrivances and since they are too obscure to be narratively satisfying, they do not work in the two main universes. The anomalies being plot contrivances is also concluded in-universe by Dr. Andonuts in the video "The World Beyond Ours [FILE-INT-MAXPH] - Haltmann's Archives".

Rips primarily featuring these universes are compiled in the playlist SiIvaGunner ~Stories Besides Ours~.

  • Microsoft Paint Universe: The universe primarily seen in Mr Rental: The Video Game rips. In this universe, everything is poorly drawn in Microsoft Paint. This world mainly consists of animated caricatures of real people and cartoon characters co-existing in a modern setting. Characters are depicted as either PNGs or drawings. Rips are made at High Quality Rips HQ. Mr Own resides in this universe, dedicating his life to "banning" all mashups by murdering the associated characters. His cousin, Mr. Rent, also resided there, before accidentally being sent to the Central Canon Continuum. In "Story Mode - Looney Tunes", Mr Rental takes Mr. Own's place after getting ran over by 2B. The true ending has Mr Rental prove his innocence from Mr Own's crimes and open up his own Mr Rental store.
  • Looney Tunes Universe: The universe primarily seen in Looney Tunes rips. In this universe, everything is in monochrome. The environments are made out of simple shapes, while characters are mostly PNGs. Mr Rental resides in this universe, and is a humble kind-hearted man who is indifferent to mashups. A version of Lady exists in this universe, being one of God's first mashups and the ruler of Hell. Grand Dad also exists in this world, having a counterpart; Grand Ma (Homer Simpson). The two exist as yin and yang; if one dies, the whole universe will be destroyed. In "Story Mode - Mr Rental: The Video Game", Mr Own takes Mr Rental's place after getting ran over by 2B. The true ending has Mr. Own defeat Lady and take her spot as ruler of hell, using his newfound power to ban all mashups.
  • Red Dead Dimension: A universe briefly visited by 2B and Wade L.D. where they ended up being cornered by the police. Wade then sacrificed his life so 2B could continue on her quest. It is presumably named after the game Red Dead Redemption.
  • Garfielf Universe: The universe primarily seen in rips spoofing "Garfielf" by PilotRedSun, namely "Menu - Garfield", "Main Theme - Garfield's Scary Scavenger Hunt", and "Main Theme - A Week of Garfield". Like the Microsoft Paint Universe, everything is poorly drawn in Microsoft Paint, but all events are depicted as static images mostly voiced by text-to-speech software, particularly JerkFace and WiseGuy from Voice Forge.
  • The World of Kirby Fighters: A world with a style akin to early 2000's YouTube/Newgrounds sprite animations. Kirby took in his counterpart from the Game Boy universe and the two became roommates. Other Super Mario characters like Mr. L and Waluigi exist in this universe, although Waluigi was sent through a garlic taco portal to the CCC by the two Kirbys.
    • Game Boy version: Another monochromatic universe. Not much is known about it besides that Grey Kirby and Wario were residents, and that Wario was a bully who threatened and stole things from everyone. 2B arrived in this universe during her search for 9S. Grey Kirby jumped into the portal behind him, going to the other colorful Kirby Fighters universe. Wario followed suit, but was defeated by Kirby's counterpart.
  • Steve Harvey Universe: A universe where American television host, actor, writer, producer, and comedian Steve Harvey reigns supreme. Steve Harvey has his own dedicated rips, featuring crude, low quality memes. Other rips featuring similar elements also take place in this universe, such as rips of Elf: The Movie.
  • AMUNO Universe: A universe of utter chaos, with poorly drawn characters placed in a world of pictures of real-world locations. Surreal shitposts are often seen from rips featuring it. It is named after AMUNO.
  • Brainrot World / Omega universe: A universe consisting of both humans and Figments coexisting together, particularly many different "Omegas" and "Cots". It is the home universe of Brainless Kitty, Gegagedigedagedago, Pomni and Boykisser. Depicted in e∩Ω, the Brainless Kitty's arc, and "The First Date - A Date with Boykisser!".
    • Coordinate Plane: A sub-realm within Brainrot World, and the home of The numberphile. Everything corresponds to coordinates in this realm, including time itself. Visually, it is a featureless white void where any characters have a grid under them rather than a shadow, and their coordinates appear beside them. The numberphile appears to be the manager of the SiIvaGunner channel in this realm, as he is seen scheduling rips. This is also where the final battle between The numberphile and Gegagedigedagedago took place, resulting in The numberphile's death. Afterwards, Gegagedigedagedago looked at The numberphile's computer and saw a message from 9S that was erroneously sent to The numberphile instead of Eggnog, and redirected it to Eggnog.
  • Slot Machine (Beta Mix) - Star Fox: The universe depicted in the rip "Slot Machine (Beta Mix) - Star Fox", only referred to by the rip's name. According to the "SiIvaGunner ~Stories Besides Ours~" playlist, it is also depicted in the rip "Main Theme - Five Nights at Freddy's 57: Freddy in Space", where the "SiivaGunner H.Q." from the previous rip is seen.
  • Reader and Jerome's Universe / CCC-Fools: An alternate timeline of the CCC depicted in videos related to Reader and Jerome. Due to the duo's potent April Fools' spirit, they were cordoned off into a separate but identical timeline, which was warped beyond recognition starting after Haltmann's takeover.
    Reader and Jerome's house.
  • SmashUp! Universe: The universe seen in "SiIvaGunner SmashUp!" and "SiIvaGunner SmashUp! 2", in which beings representing humans and Figments from other universes compete in professional wrestling tournaments to win free sandwiches.

Pre-existing universes

There are several other universes based on pre-existing IP. These worlds remain unaltered and feature no other characters outside of the ones meant to be there. They follow the original narrative of their properties up until otherworldly interference occurs.

  • NieR: Automata universe: The universe where 2B and 9S originated, and where they returned after reunited. The portal created in "Last Hurrah" led to this universe. After the events of Ending E, the portal opened beside 2B, causing 9S to push her out of the way and get sucked in himself, leading to all of the rest of the events.
  • 9:05 Universe: The universe depicted in the rip "Main Theme - 9:05". The game occurs normally up until Numberphile appears and steals the protagonist's watch.
  • Mundus: The universe of the Elder Scrolls video game series. In the SiIvaGunner lore, it specifically represents The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. 9S wound up here initially after leaving the CCC. 9S would wander around the world until finding the Elder Scroll. He then used the power of the Elder Scroll to send a message to Eggnog, who reunited him with 2B in this universe. 9S then transported himself and 2B back to their home dimension.
  • Bad Tsunko no Doki Doki Omikuji Universe: Based on the titular flash game, the world features all characters in the game. Numberphile and Charlie the Steak attack this world, killing Pandaba and Tsunko.
  • Minecraft Realm: A Minecraft server seen in "My Last Stand (Funny Jojoke haHA) - A SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis Side Story". Gamechap and Bertie reside in this world, and Wood Man briefly retreated to Minecraft for several months.
  • The Amazing Digital Circus Universe: Based on the show of the same name. The events of the pilot episode occur normally up until Pomni escapes the void and is taken away by Justin Bieber.
    • The Void: A location of the void introdced in Enter Exit - The Amazing Digital Circus. Based on the high school featured in Doki Doki Literature Club!, Justin Bieber resides in the school to avoid the overstimulation of his own world. The school's hallways house doors leading to various universes. Pomni travels through the door to Brainrot World to escape Caine.
  • SCP-3922: The original test logs for SCP-3922 feature an entry for the Christmas Comeback Crisis, where The Voice is apprehended by armed forces and promptly defeated in the first episode. This was later adapted and canonized to the lore as an alternate timeline in "Seasonal Return (Episode 1) (Beta Mix) - The SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis".
