- This creates two connections to Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai: the association with bunnies, and the idea of Mario supposedly vanishing during the event (as Mai Sakurajima, the titular "Bunny Girl Senpai", is seemingly invisible to most people).
- In Christianity, Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which was three days after his crucifixion; Mario returned to the channel three days after he vanished, which may have been a reference to this.
