SiIvaGunner Wiki:Moot/Log 2024 February 03
- 0:00: Ironwestie: Starting the thread
- 0:00: Pokemonfreak777: hello
- 0:00: Spottygamester: Hi.
- 0:00: Ironwestie: We'll begin in a couple minutes
- 0:00: ZachHasArrived: Here
- 0:02: Mick the Squirrel: i'll be half here cause i'm in the middle of something right now, but there was only one topic i was mainly interested in the outcome of anyway
- 0:03: Ironwestie: We have so many moot topics today that I can't fit them all in a single message, so I'll quote them individually as the moot progresses
- 0:03: Ironwestie: We'll begin in about a minute
- 0:04: Ironwestie: First topic:
Ironwestie - Split List of rips referencing YouTubers into subpages alphabetically to make it easier to navigate. (see User:Ironwestie/List of rips referencing YouTubers for a longer explanation)
- 0:04: Arthur10123: howdy! I will try to participate tonight
- 0:04: Ironwestie: The proposal, in a nutshell: Split List of rips referencing YouTubers into subpages alphabetically to make it easier to navigate.
- 0:05: Ironwestie: User:Ironwestie/List of rips referencing YouTubers - I've listed most of the reasoning and format here, but essentially we will we split the page into subpages like we do with List of playlists.
- The page is currently split into "General channels", "Non-parody music channels", "SiIvaGunner fan channels", "YouTube trends", and "Unknown channel origin". The "General channels" portion makes up most of the page (over 229,390 bytes) and is the easiest to split off of the main page. Since the other sections are shorter, I am not sure exactly where to put them.
- 0:06: Spottygamester: I'm just making a tea real quick, but I'll be sure to join in shortly.
- 0:06: Ironwestie: That's my proposal.
- 0:07: Pokemonfreak777: i mostly agree with the proposal but theres some stuff about the split that i had a few thoughts on
- 0:08: Mick the Squirrel: All the other sections could be on their own "other" subpage.
- 0:09: Pokemonfreak777: with the current sublists, im fine with keeping general channels (more on this in a bit), non-parody music channels, siiva fan channels, and unknown youtube origin
- 0:10: Pokemonfreak777: i think we should move and/or remove youtube trends since they seem to be more meme like or sometimes kinda not noteworthy enough
- 0:11: Pokemonfreak777: for general channels id also like to know how people feel about moving contributors to a separate section, since some channels in the list are siiva contributors that also happen to have non-siiva stuff referenced
- 0:12: Spottygamester: I agree with splitting the general channels section of the YouTubers page. It's getting really cluttered at this point.
- 0:12: Arthur10123: same
- 0:12: ZachHasArrived: Yeah
- 0:13: Ironwestie: This proposal was just about splitting the original list into subpages without modifying any of the sublists. I think any sublist changes should be discussed separately
- 0:13: Spottygamester: I agree.
- 0:14: Pokemonfreak777: then what page would the sublists (as is) go before the discussion but after the split
- 0:15: Pokemonfreak777: i feel like discussing which to keep should be part of the split discussion since they do need to go somewhere
- 0:15: Ironwestie: I was debating whether to split them into individual subpages, but the sublists were too small to be useful. I was stumped on how to group them since the sections aren't really related or defined very well in the first place
- 0:16: Arthur10123: [in reply to: Ironwestie: "This proposal was just about splitting..."] in that case, I think we should split "General channels" into groups, and the others can be in one page for now since they are smaller.
- also I'm on the fence regarding "YouTube trends"
- 0:17: Ironwestie: For now, until we have a better idea of what sublists should be on the page, we could follow Mick's suggestion and put them in one page. The navbox could then link to their individual sections ("Non-parody music channels", and so on)
- 0:17: Ironwestie: @pokemonfreak777 , does this seem reasonable?
- 0:18: Pokemonfreak777: so we just tack on an "other" section to the end of the list, correct?
- 0:19: Ironwestie: The "general channels" is split alphabetically, as I've proposed, and the non-general channel sections are all in a separate page called "Other"
- 0:19: Pokemonfreak777: this could work for now
- 0:19: Arthur10123: yep
- 0:20: Ironwestie: This topic's discussion is reaching 20 minutes, and we have a lot to get through, so I'll call it to a vote unless we have an objection
- 0:20: Pokemonfreak777: preferably the discussion for sublists on that page happen sooner than later though since i think it would look awkward
- 0:20: Ironwestie: Understood, pokemonfreak
- 0:21: Ironwestie: Summary: We will split the "General channels" portion of List of rips referencing YouTubers into subpages alphabetically to make it easier to navigate. For the other sections of the list, we will keep them as is for now (pending another discussion) and put them into another subpage called "Other".

- Result: 6-0-0. The vote has passed.
- 0:23: Ironwestie: The next topic on the docket was
Rickhenrique - A new "Criteria for specific content" section for series and franchise (e.g. Touhou Project, MOTHER, etc.). (see User:Rickhenrique/Series criteira for a longer explanation)
However, Rickhenrique will not be at the moot today and has said they are okay with us skipping their topics.
- 0:23: Ironwestie: Therefore, @pokemonfreak777 now has the floor for this topic:
Pokemonfreak777 - Decide if we want to upload hidden tracks from albums to the wiki.
- 0:24: Pokemonfreak777: just to preface this, the topic was spurred by this message i received on my wall https://siivagunner.fandom.com/wiki/Message_Wall:Pokemonfreak777?threadId=4400000000000211458
- 0:25: Pokemonfreak777: basically the topic boils down to whether or not we want to upload hidden tracks on the wiki
- 0:25: Pokemonfreak777: currently we are not consistent about this with some having the audio file, some linking to the google drive links, and some not having a link at all
- 0:26: Pokemonfreak777: i do not care which we go for but we should choose one option and stick with it
- 0:26: CreepyboomGamer: I think drive links work best
- 0:27: Ironwestie: This makes sense to me. Category:Audio has a lot of audio files like this already, and not all tracks have official drive links that we can link to
- 0:27: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: CreepyboomGamer: "I think drive links work best"] do note that not all albums have drive links so i would prefer this a bit less
- 0:27: ZachHasArrived: I think we should. It's not like the hidden tracks are behind a paywall or anything and its better for archival.
- 0:27: Arthur10123: agreed with ironwestie, I think we should have the audio files
- 0:27: Spottygamester: I'm fine with putting the hidden tracks as audio files on the wiki as well.
- 0:27: Mick the Squirrel: [in reply to: Ironwestie: "@zach, @Mick?"] oh wouldve did a
, but we're on the next topic now
- 0:28: Ironwestie: It sounds like there is consensus, so let's take a vote
- 0:28: Arthur10123: [in reply to: ZachHasArrived: "I think we should. It's not like..."]
It's not like the hidden tracks are behind a paywall or anything
- Bigai Love, lol
- 0:28: Mick the Squirrel: yeah agree with this, some people want to stay on the wiki before viewing something external
- 0:29: Ironwestie: Summary: We will upload hidden tracks from albums to the wiki as audio files

- Result: 8-0-0. The vote has passed.
- 0:30: Ironwestie: @ChungusboomGamer , you have the floor for this topic:
CreepyboomGamer - Discuss adding articles for the unofficial Christmas Comeback Crisis albums by dante, Madinstance, and Aps17. If yes, discuss if we want to create articles for the exclusive songs on these albums, such as Basta Esperar... and In the Past, In the Future, In the Present. -CreepyboomGamer
- 0:32: Ironwestie: (Please try to provide a summary of your proposal in the next couple of minutes, otherwise we'll have to move on.)
- 0:32: CreepyboomGamer: Basically what this says. I think we should have pages for these albums, even though they technically aren't official. I know the wiki has policies against documenting unofficial content, but given how these closely relate and tracks from these albums are directly used in the CCC, I think these should be documented on wiki.
- 0:33: Pokemonfreak777: i kinda view these albums similar to how i view the secret siiva and personal contributor albums. while some content on these albums eventually makes it to the main channel i dont really feel like they are officially part of the channel, so they shouldnt get pages
- 0:34: CreepyboomGamer: fair.
- 0:34: ZachHasArrived: Are they at least mentioned on the wiki somewhere?
- 0:34: Ironwestie: I'm of a similar mind as pokemonfreak. I like the way that One Last Chance (Episode 11) - The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis does it currently where the albums are linked, but only because some tracks were used in that episode
- 0:35: Arthur10123: they are also mentioned in the CCC OST playlist, and the voiceless page
- 0:35: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: ZachHasArrived: "Are they at least mentioned..."] yes if its known that its siiva related, we usually add it as an external link
- 0:35: Zacharrry: [in reply to: ZachHasArrived: "Are they at least mentioned..."] they are linked in the music section of the CCC article
- 0:35: ZachHasArrived: That's probably good enough then.
- 0:35: Arthur10123: personally I'm neutral on it
- 0:36: Spottygamester: I'm indifferent on it as well, though I slightly lean on not making articles for these albums.
- 0:36: Spottygamester: For the same reason that pokemonfreak brought up.
- 0:36: Arthur10123: I think having pages for them would be neat, but I'm also fine with how they are mentioned currently
- 0:37: Peacock Roy: I dont like the idea of having pages on them although i think mentioning that they exist in the appropriate places is good
- 0:37: Ironwestie: Looks like the discussion has died down, so I'll call a vote.
- 0:38: Ironwestie: Summary: We will create articles for unofficial Christmas Comeback Crisis albums by dante, Madinstance, and Aps17.

- 0:40: Ironwestie: ======
- Result: 1-2-5. The vote was not passed. We will not be going forward with this topic.
- 0:40: Ironwestie: @ChungusboomGamer you have the floor once again for:
CreepyboomGamer Discuss adding an infobox and contents of said infobox to The main article for The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis.
- 0:41: CreepyboomGamer: the main CCC article doesn't have an infobox, which looks weird compared to other articles on the wiki. Should there be one, and what should be in it?
- 0:41: Ironwestie: Do you have an infobox template to propose?
- 0:41: CreepyboomGamer: no
- 0:42: CreepyboomGamer: probably should've made one beforehand
- 0:42: Arthur10123: I think it used to have the playlist infobox?
- 0:42: Ironwestie: I think this should be tabled for the next moot until you have a template to propose
- 0:42: CreepyboomGamer: yeah
- 0:42: Pokemonfreak777: i was confused by this topic since i thought we had this
{{CCC Episode Nav}}
- 0:42: ZachHasArrived: [in reply to: Pokemonfreak777: "i was confused by this topic..."] I was just about to say.
- 0:42: Mick the Squirrel: i still think it's a good idea, even if it isn't all specific yet
- 0:43: Arthur10123: [in reply to: Pokemonfreak777: "i was confused by this topic..."] lol that's a navbox, not an infobox
- 0:43: Mick the Squirrel: (it's not being proposed but a CCC navbox would be cool too...)
- 0:44: Pokemonfreak777: oh i misread then i thought we were talking about the navbox
- 0:44: Ironwestie: This topic needs an infobox template to propose before we proceed with discussing it. I will leave it on the docket for the next moot in a week and I will move on to the next topic
- 0:45: Pokemonfreak777: i mean i guess we could have one similar to the one for the mojo articles but yeah make a mockup first so we can discuss further
- 0:45: CreepyboomGamer: alright
- 0:45: Ironwestie: @ZachHasArrived you have the floor for:
ZachHasArrived - Update certain template images.
- 0:45: ZachHasArrived: Alright.
- 0:46: ZachHasArrived: A while back, we updated the spoiler notice image from one of Sens to one of the Voice. I remember someone saying that the original image was kinda dated in concept, and that made me realize that most of the current notice images could be updated to more relevant ideas, with more of a focus on original channel creations rather than borrowed properties.
- 0:46: ZachHasArrived: Category:Notice templates
- 0:46: Ironwestie: Do you have specific changes that you want to be made?
- 0:47: Ironwestie: (I apologize if I interrupted you. You seemed to have finished typing.)
- 0:47: ZachHasArrived: There are a few specific templates I want to change, yeah. And I made potential replacement images for them too.
- 0:48: Ironwestie: Could you show them to us?
- 0:48: Ironwestie: It helps discussions if we have all of the information and suggestions before we discuss
- 0:48: ZachHasArrived: Okay, yeah. The first one I wanted to go over was the incomplete list one.
{{Incomplete list}}
- 0:48: Pokemonfreak777: with the exception of wario and waluigi (maybe) i honestly think the current images are mostly fine but im curious what your ideas are regardless
- 0:49: Arthur10123: [in reply to: ZachHasArrived: "Okay yeah. The first..."] I remember this used to be some render of Wario before the KFAD icon lol
- 0:49: Spottygamester: It did.
- 0:50: ZachHasArrived: Wait I can't put an image in here
- 0:51: ZachHasArrived: The plus button thing only says "use apps"
- 0:51: Ironwestie: We don't allow images in the moot threads because they're hard to show in logs
- 0:51: Ironwestie: You can upload them to the wiki first and then link them here
- 0:51: ZachHasArrived: Oh ok.
- 0:52: Ironwestie: If you need more time, I can move on to the next topic and circle back later
- 0:52: ZachHasArrived: File:J.E..png
- 0:53: ZachHasArrived: I figured no one else would be a better representation of pages with missing jokes.
- 0:53: Ironwestie: (For screenreaders and posterity: This is one of the Joke-Explainer's icons. She is waving her left arm)
- 0:53: Arthur10123: that's a great choice
- 0:53: Pokemonfreak777: yeah thats definitely better than wario
- 0:53: Ironwestie: I like this as well. It fits a lot better thematically than Wario
- 0:54: Spottygamester: That would be pretty fitting, espcially given how old the "Pause Screen - Wario World" rip is now.
- 0:54: Spottygamester: I don't see anyone talk about that rip in the community these days.
- 0:54: ZachHasArrived: For incomplete transcript: File:NowListenClosely.png
- 0:54: Spottygamester: JE works a lot better.
- 0:55: ZachHasArrived: It's still Robbie, but as he appears in the CCC.
- 0:55: Ironwestie: (Picture: A cropped screenshot of Robbie from the CCC. He is smiling, gesturing to himself and pointing his right hand up in the air)
- 0:55: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: ZachHasArrived: "For incomplete transcript..."] ok i guess this is an improvement over just screencapping WANO lol
- 0:55: Arthur10123: yeah that sure is better
- 0:56: Spottygamester: I prefer it as well.
- 0:56: ZachHasArrived: For cleanup: File:Notnice.png
- 0:56: Ironwestie: To expand on whta pokemonfreak said, for posterity: the previous image was just a screencap of the episode in which WANO plays, with all four Robbies. I like it better, too.
- 0:57: ZachHasArrived: Similar to the original image, just "modernized'.
- 0:57: Arthur10123: lol the art from the side story, lovely
- 0:57: Ironwestie: (Picture: A sad Woodman from the CCC episode. The caption "not nice." has been edited below it.)
- 0:57: ZachHasArrived: Wood Man looks much more distraught here.
- 0:57: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: ZachHasArrived: "For cleanup..."] im kinda mixed on this one. i think the old one was fine too but if people like the new one better im not against it
- 0:58: Arthur10123: the art on this one is just a bit nicer
- 0:58: Arthur10123: and I like it
- 0:58: Ironwestie: The previous image was an angry Woodman with his arm ripped off, with the words "not nice" below it. I'm ambivalent.
- 0:59: ZachHasArrived: For incompleteness: File:Incomplete.jpg
- 0:59: Arthur10123: LOL great too
- 1:00: Ironwestie: (Picture: The SiIvaGunner A.I. from the CCC episode 11 cringing and clutching his head)
- 1:00: Pokemonfreak777: also neutral on this one, but mostly because i dont know if siivagunner/siiva ai is really a good representation for this template
- 1:00: Spottygamester: I kind of prefer the one we currently use.
- 1:00: Pokemonfreak777: and i cant think of anything else honestly
- 1:00: Arthur10123: I can think of that glitched avatar from DoomFes
- 1:01: Ironwestie: The incomplete template is currently a glitchy SiIvaGunner profile from a while back, I think. I think a more glitchy or incomplete photo would make more sense
- 1:01: Arthur10123: the DoomFes avatar kinda has themes from both this new one and the current one, actually
- 1:01: Pokemonfreak777: yeah i just dont know if glitchy siivagunner screams incomplete to me
- 1:02: Ironwestie: File:Nuclear Winter Festival avatar.png
- 1:02: Arthur10123: no not that one
- 1:02: Arthur10123: the red one where he's all wacky
- 1:02: Ironwestie: File:Nuclear Winter Festival December 24 avatar.png ?
- 1:02: Arthur10123: yes
- 1:03: Arthur10123: in any case, I like Zach's proposal
- 1:03: ZachHasArrived: File:Smol.png
- File:Beaned!!!Alt.png
- Both of these (stubs and loud warning) are pretty similar to the originals, just with original art.
- 1:03: Ironwestie: [in reply to the above message] Zach, let's finish with these last two template images. This topic has already gone on for a while
- 1:04: Ironwestie: (Smol.png: A thinking smol nozomi from the CCC)
- 1:04: Arthur10123: [in reply to ZachHasArrived: "File:Smol.png..."] yeah I already liked the previous ones, just having them touched up like this is cool
- 1:04: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to ZachHasArrived: "File:Smol.png..."] you know what these are cool too
- 1:04: ZachHasArrived: I had one more left, but we can stop here if we need to.
- 1:04: Pokemonfreak777: curious where the bean art is from
- 1:04: ZachHasArrived: Bean is from the Art Fusion Collab.
- 1:04: Pokemonfreak777: i see
- 1:04: Arthur10123: I thought that was from the 7th Anniversary Collage for a minute
- 1:05: Ironwestie: (Beaned!!!Alt.png: Art work of Green de la Bean pointing with his arm pointing to the right)
- 1:06: Ironwestie: I'll call a vote. I will list each image separately, so please vote for each of them individually
- 1:09: Ironwestie: Summary: We will change the template images for the following templates:
- 1. Template:Incomplete list - File:J.E..png
- 2. Template:Incomplete transcript - File:NowListenClosely.png
- 3. Template:Cleanup - File:Notnice.png
- 4. Template:Incomplete - File:Incomplete.jpg

ZachHasArrived - Create a page for the 7th Anniversary Art Collage
- 1:15: ZachHasArrived: Okay.
- 1:15: ZachHasArrived: ...I think it should exist.
- 1:15: Ironwestie: Could you describe the subject of this article, for those who aren't aware of it?
- 1:16: ZachHasArrived: Seriously though, there's a whole folder for the thing and a bunch of references hidden in the art. I think it's worth documenting.
- 1:16: Arthur10123: [1]
- 1:16: CreepyboomGamer: might as well
- 1:16: ZachHasArrived: Yeah, that's it there.
- 1:17: Ironwestie: I'm not able to view this Twitter link
- 1:17: Arthur10123: Google Drive folder: [2]
- 1:17: ZachHasArrived: [3]
- 1:17: Mick the Squirrel: THIS is the one i wanted to be here for: support all the way
- 1:18: Arthur10123: and yes, I agree that this should exist.
- hell, it was the only official content released in January 2023 lol
- 1:18: Ironwestie: Ah, I see. It's a piece of art work celebrating the 7th anniversary of the SiIvaGunner channel. There's a draft page for it at User:Nackattack/7th Anniversary Collage
- 1:18: Pokemonfreak777: im honestly mixed about this, mainly due to how big these drives can get but if we have the space on the wiki i guess its fine
- 1:19: Spottygamester: I support it as well.
- 1:19: Arthur10123: we had space for the KFAD art folders
- 1:19: Ironwestie: Creating a page makes sense in general.
- @ZachHasArrived , are you proposing the specific page format that Nackattack made?
- 1:19: Mick the Squirrel: all drive folders are worth documenting, the art team is underrated as it is and theres so much exclusive art in these
- 1:20: ZachHasArrived: The page look pretty much exactly as I envisioned it, yeah.
- 1:20: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to Arthur10123: "we had space for..."] yeah this opinion of mine applies to that too but thats just me
- 1:20: Ironwestie: There appears to be consensus, so I'll call a vote.
- 1:21: CreepyboomGamer:
- 1:21: Ironwestie: Summary: We'll make a page for the 7th Anniversary Collage using the format Nackattack made.

- 1:22: Ironwestie: The moot has been running for about an hour and a half. How are we feeling?
- 1:22: Pokemonfreak777: im fine either way
- 1:22: Ironwestie: We have another moot in a week for those who still have topics to discuss. Are we good to close?
