SiIvaGunner Wiki:Meme discussion/Log/3rd: Pitbull
Essentially the same thing as Jack Black except he didn't even have any sources that hit 25 uses he got a meme category in 2018 basically just off of vibes and kfad he never met any actual criteria rip-wise all of his songs r pretty irrelepant outside of kfad and his event pretty cut and dry imo kill his category and meme unc status
tje context is helpful cuz im not a wiki oldhead i probably wouldve said something similar regardless
yeah theres not really any trend of usage for pitbull, he's just a generically popular musician. Nothing meme-related is written about him on his page (its basically just a KFaD page). There is a related event for him and he is a kfad contestant and I would say he has more usage than warranted by his external popularity, but it is still difficult to argue that rips were being made for pitbull bc he was relevant to the channel instead of being made bc people like his songs.
it is but the point is that he didnt even count back then so its weird that hes just remained having the status
Wait Do you mean we let some things stay without 25+ or that they have to have 25+ usually
I've been using "trend of usage" for a while now and I think thats the most apt thing to look for in a meme
but pre-25 rule is when pitbull was given a meme category for no reason and when the 25 criteria became a thing he was pretty awkward and still is
pitbull didnt even have 20 rips when he got his meme status and like 6 of that is kfad
like if its 500 then its probably justified but if its 15 then its debatably justifiable
pitbull didnt even have 20 rips when he got his meme status and like 6 of that is kfad
its hard to argue trend of usage anyways since hes a general artist and not 1 source
kind of funny how the predominant sources of kfad contestants are slowly no longer being considered memes or just the characters in general themselves not being considered memes
cuz the whole idea was adding things that arent excessively common on the channel
its more justified now than back then tbh
thats crcked clipping has more uses than pitbull did when he became a meme
it would help searchign probably to distinguish from pages that say the rip is clipping
but talking about how it wasnt relevant back then isnt a really valid argument unless we can also say he wasnt relevant as a meme S4 and onwards
i think that might be prejudiced dont take that as a compliment
but back on topic
i think his usage outside of kfad is somewhat minimal to the point he wouldn’t be considered a meme (disregarding the event w/him)
Forwarded: idk if this has been mentioned in the thread and i doubt it makes up enough of his uses to be relevant but pitbull might he inflated by his remixes of other songs that are memes
man im a bit torn on this one cuz i know someone is pushing him and i love those rips
even tho its against my usual logic pitbull’s vibes are immaculate. I cant vote him off
i knew this day would come 😔
- memes are allowed to have vibes that are lowkey. quinn wolf, close your eyes, etc. 2018 editors weren't all wrong.
- jack black isnt comparable, his current category is only an awkward shell with other tenacious d voice clips and the fnaf tiktok. pitbull makes actual music that gets used in rips
unless the list on the category page is noncongruent to its contents, i dont think his features are actually included... whether they should be included is a discussion for another time. no bloat for now, hurrahthe list is noncongruent, actually.- having (pretty much) three events of relevance solidifies him more, and he was a Ripper's Choice (the people that make the memes in the first place) kfad pick.
- associated ripper: jp; relatively consistent usage graph
nothing meme related being written about him on his page is actually pretty funny
tje worst part abt this losing is that it guarantees edens eventual tally hall is a meme proposal a W probably
multisource with no single song hitting significant usage precedent is keen
its clipping

also i disagree with liek almost all of this but in terms of features the category does seem to include them
since theres nothing listed there, non of those are included in the category
okay somehow i forgot the actual wiki category had 124 i thought it was like 80
well despite this he still is the most relevant part of the song beyond the original artists
pitbull if he didnt weasel his way onto dj got us fallin in love scooby doo pa pa and dame tu cosita
its more annoying with cosita cuz its not even considered a feature there its a remix and hes the main artist or whtever

I dont think i will ever be able to bring myself to agree that one person pushing a joke is points towards meme status
i can handle saying it doesnt matter (i still dont like it) but one person pushing it shouldnt be used to support meme status
bringing up who makes the rips shouldnt matter for meme discussions and implying that single ripper pushes makes something a meme hurts me inside
im just saying its a non-esoteric way of saying multiple rips have some form of connection
Personally i think that it should matter for the sake of disapproving something but im willing to accept nobody agrees with me
and even then its less than half of the rips so the general ripper inspiration thing can be brought up
Personally i think that it should matter for the sake of disapproving something but im willing to accept nobody agrees with me
i get your point in the literal context of the word meme, its just for our specific purposes its tainted a bit
i agree with most of mick’s list but i do not support invoking the associated ripper as evidence One way or the Other for the reasons mentioned here and elsewhere many times
our final tally is
6 [42.85%]
- fezaki
- trey
- corb
- arthur101
- bruno
- turretbot
8 [57.14%]
- stump
- dingo
- mick
- eden
- tommy
- heboyi
