"Rescue V - Paper Mario: Color Splash" is a high quality rip of "Rescue V" from Paper Mario: Color Splash.
Jokes
At the start, the rip uses footage of the Rescue V being introduced from "Paper Mario: Color Splash - Rescue V: Episode 1" by Nintendo of America. At 0:21, the audio of the footage fades into the audio from opening for Kousoku Sentai Turboranger. At 0:27, the visuals also switch to the opening for Kousoku Sentai Turboranger from "Kousoku Sentai Turboranger Opening" by Blake Avery Productions, with the following changes:
- An added blurred background appears behind the Kousoku Sentai Turboranger opening footage, to make it match the aspect ratio of the rip.
- At several points, it cuts to several promotion episodes of Rescue V by Nintendo of America for Paper Mario: Color Splash:
- At 0:39, it cuts to "Paper Mario: Color Splash - Rescue V: Episode 1" for Red Toad
- At 0:44, it cuts to "Paper Mario: Color Splash – Rescue V: Episode 2" for Green Toad
- At 0:50, it cuts to "Paper Mario: Color Splash – Rescue V: Episode 1" for Blue Toad
- At 0:56, it cuts to "Paper Mario: Color Splash – Rescue V: Episode 4" for Yellow Toad
- At 1:02, it cuts to "Paper Mario: Color Splash – Rescue V: Episode 5" for Purple Toad
- At 0:41, 0:47, 0:53, 1:00, and 1:05, the English translated names on the top are blurred and replaced with each respective Rescue V member and the member's face also edited over.
- At 1:09, an image of PSY performing "Gangnam Style" briefly appears.
- At 1:37, the ending Japanese text of the intro is replaced with the Nintendo logo.
The overall joke is in reference to the similarities between Kousoku Sentai Turboranger and Rescue V, as both consist of five member teams of similar different colors for each member.
