"Piercing the Sky - VVVVVV" is a high quality rip of "Piercing the Sky" from VVVVVV.

Joke

The entire song is played with Gangnam Style samples, consisting of several "op"s and "eyy"s. The rip was created for the Gangnam Style anniversary.

Visuals

Additionally, the rip includes some minor visuals. Throughout the video, (starting at 0:02) the VVVVVV logo cycles through several colors from the game, and the background moves downward, similar to the title screen and tower level from the game.

At 0:50 the background changes to the game's Outside background, a bunch of pixels flying to the left.

At 0:59 it changes again to the horizontal warp background, a bunch of wavy lines moving to the right.

At 1:15 the background changes back to the original.

At 2:03 the logo and background no longer changes color.

At 2:19 the screen goes black and Viridian, the game's protagonist can be seen briefly falling from the top of the screen.

At 2:20 the background changes to the game's Warp Zone background, a bunch of pixels flying upwards. The screen flashes white at every second beat as well.

At 2:50 the background changes after each flash three times, the first being the main background, second being the horizontal wavy lines and the third being a pattern of square outlines growing from the center of the screen. Afterwards the background changes to the left flying pixels.

At 3:00 it changes to a set of wavy lines moving upwards.

At 3:16 it changes to a mixture of the main background and the upward moving pixels.

At 3:32 the logo and background no longer change color and the background reverts to the original and begins fading out at 3:36.
