Jokes
At 0:11 and throughout, the Mario throwing a fireball from New Super Mario Bros. sound effect is played to the main riff from "IV. Sweatpants" by Childish Gambino ft. Problem. At 0:17 and throughout, Toad's "Woo! Yahoo!" voice clips are laid over the track, mimicking the "Woo! Yah!" vocals from "Sweatpants". At 0:22, Mario's "Here we go!" voice clip plays, followed by the vocals to "Sweatpants" being mashed up with the advertised track. At 0:54, a Mario coin sound effect plays.
At 0:55, it switches to the "Character/Kart Select" variant of the advertised track. At 1:28, it switches again to the "Course Select" variant of the advertised track. At 1:47, the "Starting Race" sound effect from Mario Kart Wii plays, as a setup for Gambino's "Fiskers don't make noise when they start up" quip.
