The twenty-second anniversary of the release of "The Hampsterdance Song" was celebrated with a channel event in 2022.

Summary

All of the rips uploaded referenced hamsters in some way. This was often via "The Hampsterdance Song" being used as the joke; alternatives involved the advertised track, the advertised game, or a different joke having a connection to hamsters. The first two rips released during this event were also related to the United States of America, due to July 4th being Independence Day in the United States.

The channel banner was changed to have fireworks on either side, an American flag on the right side, and hamsters from various sources. From top to bottom and left to right, they are:

The channel's avatar was changed to a hamster version of SiIvaGunner. The catchphrase was changed to "Please read the Channel Description of Independence."

The channel's featured video for returning subscribers was changed to "The Hamster Dance Song - Just Dance Kids".

Timeline

Trivia

  • The last rip uploaded before this event began, "Paranoid - Rock n' Roll Racing", uses "America, Fuck Yeah" from Team America: World Police as its joke. This may have been meant to give a false pretense for the nature of the event.
  • The creation of a hamster-based event that significantly focuses on usage of "The Hampsterdance Song" on Independence Day is most likely a reference to a segment from the Season 18 Family Guy episode "The Movement," in which the United States national anthem is replaced with "The Hampsterdance Song." The scene itself is referenced in the first rip of the event, "The Star-Spangled Banner - 1943: Midway Kaisen".
